Village School Mentor:
The Village School Mentor facilitates rich, authentic, hands-on learning experiences in nature-connection and community-building, guiding children ages 6-12 towards healthy and meaningful lives and active community and land stewardship. Mentors work collaboratively to guide and inspire each learner’s curiosity through: storytelling, sharing gratitude, making nature-based crafts, art of questioning, singing songs, sharing naturalist knowledge, and various stewardship projects. This is a full-time, position requiring 32 hours/week; 8:00am to 2:00pm on Tuesday, 8am-4pm Wednesday through Friday for the duration of the school year, with an option to work through the summer months.
The Field Director coordinates and leads all youth programs in the field, providing nature-based educational programming for children ages 6-12 while also overseeing and guiding a team of skillful, caring Mentors who provide hands-on learning to program participants. This is a full-time, year-round hourly position, requiring 40 hours/week; 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday.
