The Washington County Youth Service Bureau/Boys and Girls Club is seeking a part-time Case Manager for the Youth Development program serving Central Vermont. The Youth Development Program supports youth in foster care as they make the transition to successful adulthood in the community. The Case Manager will be responsible for providing strength-based case management with an active caseload of youth in Washington County.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working with the Youth Development Program Director, the Case Manager will be responsible for:
Maintaining an active caseload of approximately 15 youth.
Developing and maintaining relationships with local service providers, primarily staff from the Barre District Department for Children and Families to provide support to YDP youth
Coordinating with intra-agency programs, as well as with community partners.
Helping youth identify ways to leverage their own inherent strengths as tools to navigate the transition into adulthood.
Document contacts and client progress; manage case files for assigned caseload.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required. A Master’s Degree in counseling, Social Work or related field is preferred.
Previous experience with case management is preferred. Training is available.
Experience writing and documenting case activities; preparation of planning documents with clients for services and for communication with partners.
Ability to work in a team approach
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Google’s suite of tools
Commitment to the role of strength-based approaches to youth work with a desire to learn more about implementing Positive Youth Development Practices
A valid driver’s license with good driving record (reliable transportation is a helpful asset).

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
This is part-time position (22.55 hours per week), and the desk-space will be in an office shared with another person. The Youth Development Program is comprised of one 100% FTE Director and the Case Manager. The team meets formally at least once a week. Individual supervision is provided at least once per week. Youth-work at the Bureau is collaborative. All Bureau employees attend a morning staff meeting once a month, receive outside clinical consultation twice per month, and participate in office coverage and a rotating 24 hour on-call schedule. The atmosphere at the Bureau is professional casual.

SALARY RANGE:  $18,600 – $22,200 Annually

*Effective 1/1/2017, the WCYSB will offer insurance coverage for benefit eligible employees through Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Vermont. The monthly premium contribution from the WCYSB will be $332 per employee. Blue Cross/Blue Shield offers 10 plans that employees may choose from. The additional premium costs associated with each plan above the $332 allocation from the Bureau will be in the form of pre-tax payroll deductions.
