NEKCA is seeking a Director of Finance (CFO) to lead its finance operations. The ideal candidate is a strategic and analytical thinker.  The person will have primary responsibility for planning, managing and controlling the Agency’s finance, accounting, human resource activities and compliance with laws and regulations.  This hands-on position supervises a staff of six and will be a member of the Leadership Team. The CFO must have the ability to think and act independently. Needs to understand the comprehensive sets of programs and grant requirements that fund the agency.

The CFO works closely with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, agency auditors, funder grant managers and the agency leadership team which is comprised of department heads.

The CFO must be able to gain the trust of all, especially, the fiscal team and support the values and the mission of the agency.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree

Not-for-profit accounting and management experience

Work collaboratively with diverse group of internal and external stakeholders

Experience leading staff, enjoy coaching people and patience working with staff

Demonstrated confidence, consultative and open-minded.

Experience GAAP, Auditing and Compliance Requirements for Federal Awards

Strong organizational, oral and written communication skills with attention to detail

Experience with a multi funder environment preferred.
