BROC Community Action in Southwestern Vermont

BROC Community Action has an immediate opening on its’ leadership team for the position of Director of Finance.

S/he will ideally have experience managing finance (accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting) for a complex nonprofit with multiple funding sources including government (federal and state contracts).

The Director of Finance will be responsible for performing all levels of fiscal management, prepare budgets, payroll, and financial reports for management and funding sources, interact with program managers on budgetary and fiscal matters, budgetary forecasting, audit requirements, and oversite of the accounting department. S/he will be a self starter able to work in a team and independently in a fast paced environment.


A minimum of a BS degree in financial management, accounting, or a related field.

At least five years experience as Finance Director, CFO or equivalent, preferably in a non profit organization with at least a 5 million dollar budget.

Experience and expertise in working with accounting software and computer systems essential.
