Gleaning Capacity Building AmeriCorps VISTA

Gleaning is the act of reaping after the harvest – and an activity at Salvation Farm’s roots. In 2005 Salvation Farms built a model for community-based gleaning in the Lamoille Valley that helped seed gleaning across Vermont. We proudly continue our work connecting people with the farms that feed them (Lamoille Valley Gleaning). This position will also support the Vermont Gleaning Collective, a statewide association of gleaners in Vermont, founded and facilitated by Salvation Farms, to advance independent gleaning efforts across the state. This VISTA position will support the ongoing development of both programs.

Applicants should have interest in food systems and agriculture. Applications accepted until filled (anticipated start date of 8/28/17).
