Partnerships for Literacy and Learning (PLL) is a new nonprofit, committed to helping schools develop all students’ literate abilities by providing professional learning that improves teaching, strengthens leadership, and creates engaging partnerships and networks. PLL’s Board of Directors is seeking an Executive Director to guide progress towards these goals, nurture the vitality of the organization, and coordinate its dynamic programs. This full-time position begins on July 1, 2017.
The successful candidate must have a Masters Degree in education, leadership, or a relevant field, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong interest and experience in literacy and knowledge of high quality professional learning.
Responsibilities require skills with organizational administration and leadership, communication, project oversight, financial management, and development. Therefore, preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate experience with leading a nonprofit organization, working with a board of directors, establishing and maintaining a positive, productive professional environment, managing complex budgets, writing grants, fundraising, managing staff, strategic planning, and goal-setting.
Salary is commensurate with experience and will include a comprehensive benefits package.
