To provide services to support families with children with identified specialized child care needs, and service providers working with such families to assure families are aware of child developmental/care programs that are affordable, of high quality and meet their needs. When child care is the identified primary service need, work alongside families and child development professionals to build relationships and improve health, development and outcomes for children and families.
Desired Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood, Elementary or Early Childhood Special Education or a related field; at least three years teaching and/or administrative experience in an early childhood setting; experience providing professional development, technical assistance, coaching and/or mentoring, and consultation to staff working with you children and families; understanding of developmentally appropriate practice and human development; experience with facilitating adult learning; knowledge of child and adult service in Washington County region; ability to work with people in a family centered, non-judgmental manner; demonstrated ability to facilitate appropriate communication among social workers, parents, providers and other service providers; working knowledge of Protective Services/Family Support child care services; demonstrated ability to collaborate with other professionals, maintain records, and complete reports on a timely basis; familiarity with regulations, laws, and procedures of the Vermont Agency of Human Services preferred. 35-40 hours, year-round.
